What's the deal with Shining Shakti clothes?

We started Shining Shakti with the desire to make organic cotton, hand-dyed yoga clothes with a touch of what we like to call "tree-hugging fabulous."  We are proud to be fully MADE IN THE USA!  We buy our fabric in Los Angeles and it is cut, sewn and dyed all in one building in Virginia by happy hippies like us.

What size am I?

Let us help you find the perfect pair of pants for your body!  Made from 91% organic cotton and 9% spandex (to keep them from getting too baggy during / after your practice), the fit is pretty true to size:


Eek.  What if my pants are too long? I don't want to lose the design.

We understand  that petite yogis don't want to lose the fabulous designs when they hem the pants, and our pants are a bit on the longer side.  If you find that you need to shorten your pants and don't want to spend more money on having them professionally hemmed, feel free to carefully cut* them and they'll make a tiny curl along the bottom.  They'll never fray, and you can use what you cut off for a cute headband!  Think of it as a free gift from us.

*We regret that we are unable to accept returns once the pants are altered in any way.

What if I need to exchange or return something?

We love our clothes and want you to love them too! If you don't for any reason, we'll provide an exchange, replacement or refund. Just contact us within 30 days of the date of purchase. If you receive an item that was damaged in transit or is defective please notify us within 5 days of receiving the item. We will gladly provide a replacement at no charge and arrange to have the defective item(s) picked up.

We're happy to provide an exchange or refund (less shipping charges) on items that are returned in new condition within 30 days from the date of purchase. Unfortunately we cannot accept returns for items that have been damaged in any way, unless the damage is due to a defect in the product or as a result of damage during shipping by us.

Please be sure to properly insure your package(s). FedEx and UPS include tracking and insurance.  We cannot assume responsibility for items that are lost in the mail when being returned.

Once we receive the merchandise back from you, we will send you an email confirming that your return has been processed. If a refund is due, we will issue a credit as soon as possible, but within 10 days. Otherwise, we will immediately send out the exchange item(s).
